Community Ride Request Platform

Internal Product Live Beta Marketplace Platform Community Platform Rochester NY

Overview

RideTheROC is an MRB-owned local platform built around community ride requests in Rochester, NY. Instead of trying to copy a corporate rideshare app, the project focuses on direct local coordination: riders post what they need, drivers can discover nearby requests, and the platform keeps the experience community-first.

Problem

Local ride coordination often happens inside scattered Facebook posts, comment threads, DMs, and informal groups. That makes it hard for riders to be found, hard for drivers to see nearby requests, and hard for the community to keep track of active needs.

Build

MRB Technologies designed and developed RideTheROC as a local-first ride request board for Rochester, NY. The platform focuses on posted ride requests, driver visibility, direct communication, and a cleaner alternative to messy social media threads.

The system was built around a simple idea: help people get connected with drivers who are already nearby and ready, without turning the platform into a corporate rideshare clone.

Key Features

  • Public ride request posting
